Course Content
The content is a fusion of ideas drawn from Candomblé rhythms, Samba, Maracatu, Samba Reggae & Ijexá grooves from Brazil with elements from Cuban music such as Bata rhythms, Rumba, Conga & Salsa. The percussion grooves, played on Batucada instruments (surdos, repiniques, snares, tamborims, bells, shakers & timbas), are colourful & melodic, combining patterns & phrases creatively arranged to produce exciting dance grooves. The choreography, arranged to fit the music, draws on traditional Afro-Brazilian dance movements.

About CarFest
CarFest is an incredible annual music and motoring festival held in Cheshire (“CarFest North”) and Hampshire (“CarFest South”). It was founded by the radio presenter Chris Evans in 2012, and raises funds for Children in Need. As of July 2015 it has raised over £3½ million for the charity.

This is Global Grooves’ second year at Carfest after helping to produce the first ever CarFest Carnival in 2017.  This year we want the Carnival to be even bigger and better.
